Vandex BB 75 Cementitious Waterproofing Slurry (25 kg) - Tremco

Vandex BB 75 is a cementitious, ready-mixed grey waterproofing slurry for concrete and masonry surfaces. Composed of cement, graded quartz aggregates and selected additives, it stops both active and passive water pressure and is tested for use in contact with drinking water. The cured layer is durable, frost- and heat-resistant, efflorescence-free, yet remains permeable to water vapour so the structure continues to "breathe".

Vandex BB 75 is CE-marked under EN 1504-3 as a CC fine mortar for structural concrete repair (Class R3, ≥ 25 MPa) and bonds tenaciously to both horizontal and vertical surfaces, making it ideal for tanks, basements, retaining walls and water-retaining structures.

Coverage

• Pressureless water: 3–4 kg/m² (1.5–2 mm total)

• Maximum 2 mm (≈ 4 kg/m²) per single working cycle; multiple coats usually recommended

Packaging & Shelf Life

Supplied in 25 kg PE-lined paper bags. Shelf life is 12 months when stored in a dry place in unopened, undamaged original packaging.

How to Use (Brief)

1. Substrate must be sound, even, open-pored and roughened. Remove all bitumen, oil, grease, paint and laitance. Stop active leaks first with VANDEX PLUG.
2. Pre-saturate the substrate so it is damp but not wet. Remove standing water on horizontal surfaces.
3. Mix 25 kg with 4.5–6 L water mechanically for at least 3 min to a lump-free consistency. Do not re-temper with water - only re-stir.
4. Apply by brush (cross-wise to fill all cavities), trowel (start with a scratch coat, work bottom-up), or fine-mortar spray (~6 mm nozzle).
5. Apply subsequent coats while the previous coat is still surface-damp. Texture each coat while still plastic to form a key.
6. Do not apply below +5 °C or to a frozen substrate.
7. Cure: Keep damp for at least 5 days. Protect from rain for 24 h, and from sun, wind and frost. Surfaces to be plastered/painted must cure 28 days.
