TREMproof 250GC Fluid-Applied Polyurethane Waterproofing Membrane (18.9 L) - Tremco

TREMproof 250GC from Tremco CPG is a rapid-curing, high-solids, VOC-compliant, single-component, moisture-triggered, fluid-applied modified polyurethane elastomeric waterproofing membrane. Its standout feature: it can be applied directly to damp or green concrete, often within 24 hours of form removal - eliminating the long wait for substrate to fully dry and dramatically compressing the construction schedule.

Available in three viscosities - Self-Levelling (SL), Roller (R) and Trowel (for detailing only) - TREMproof 250GC delivers a seamless, monolithic membrane up to 3 mm in a single lift, with multi-lift systems available up to 5.5 mm for maximum protection. An optional Tremco Anti-Root Additive makes it suitable for vegetated roofing systems.

Packaging & Shelf Life

Available in 18.9 L pails and 208 L drums. Colour: Black. Shelf life is 12 months when stored properly in unopened packaging, protected from moisture, between 5 °C and 40 °C. Do not double-stack pallets.

How to Use (Brief)

1. Concrete must reach 20 MPa minimum compressive strength. Surface must be sound, free of dirt, oil, release agents and contaminants.
2. Plug active leaks using TREMproof Inject polyurethane resins. Repair non-structural cracks with appropriate mortar.
3. Cove all horizontal/vertical interfaces with polymer-modified mortar or Dymonic 100. Detail covings, edges and penetrations with TREMproof 250GC + Dymonic 100.
4. Treat all shrinkage cracks with a 0.75 mm coat of 250GC, 15 cm wide, centred on the crack. Rout and caulk moving cracks > 1.6 mm with Dymonic 100, then a 1.5 mm detail coat.
5. Standard application: Roller, squeegee or trowel apply at 0.66 m²/L for 1.5 mm thickness. Mix material in the bucket prior to use.
6. Single-lift up to 3 mm: Apply at 0.32 m²/L for horizontal surfaces.
7. 5.5 mm multi-lift: First coat at 0.44 m²/L (2.3 mm). Cure 16–24 hr to firm rubber, prime with Vulkem 191 QD, then second coat at 0.31 m²/L (3.2 mm).
8. Backfilled applications require a compatible Tremco protection course. Not for use with potable water; not for asphalt-based contact.
