Tuf-Strand SF Macro Synthetic Polypropylene Fibre for Concrete (51 mm)

Tuf-Strand SF by Tremco CPG / Euclid Chemical is a patented polypropylene–polyethylene macro synthetic fibre engineered to replace steel fibres, welded wire mesh and conventional reinforcing bars in a wide variety of concrete and shotcrete applications. The 51 mm fibres deliver true three-dimensional reinforcement, enhancing flexural toughness, impact / abrasion resistance and significantly mitigating plastic shrinkage cracking.

Tuf-Strand SF complies with ASTM C1116 (Standard Specification for Fibre-Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete) and ICC AC383, is UL/ULC certified for D900 and F900 series composite metal-deck assemblies (CBXQ.R13773), and is recognised as alternative reinforcement under ACI 360 and SDI/ANSI-C1.0.

How to Use (Brief)

Add at the ready-mix plant during batching or directly into the mixer prior to placement. Mix at maximum mixer speed for 3–5 minutes for full dispersion. Expect a slump loss of up to 50 mm at low dosage (1.8–3 kg/m³) or 75–125 mm at high dosage (4–7 kg/m³); compensate with a water-reducer or superplasticiser (Eucon series / Plastol series) as required. Never add to zero-slump concrete - minimum 80 mm slump required. Compatible with all Euclid Chemical admixtures.
