BS MoistureZero 2K - Flexible Elastomeric Acrylic Cementitious Coating

BS MoistureZero 2K is a two-component, highly flexible, elastomeric, acrylic polymer modified cementitious waterproofing coating system. It is liquid-applied, crack-bridging, and provides excellent adhesion, waterproofing performance, and flexibility.. The cured membrane forms a durable and seamless barrier suitable for interior and exterior waterproofing applications on concrete, masonry and cementitious substrates.

BS MoistureZero 2K is ideal for waterproofing the following areas:

1. Terraces, balconies, and sunshades.
2. Basements and retaining walls.
3. Wet areas like toilets, kitchens, bathrooms, sunken areas, lift pits, and sumps.
4. Concrete water tanks (raw/waste water) and water bodies (as applicable).
5. Interior and exterior waterproofing for concrete structures, brickwork, and blockwork.
6. Podium areas, non-tower roof areas, garden and pool areas.

Application Instructions – BS MoistureZero 2K

1. Surface Preparation

• Ensure the surface is sound, thoroughly cleaned, and free of dirt, dust, oil/grease, laitance, and loose particles.
• Repair honeycombs, voids, and active leaks prior to application.
• Pre-wet the prepared substrate (Recommended 2 hours) before application; do not allow standing water.

2. Mixing

• Mix Part A (polymer liquid) with Part B (powder) in the recommended ratio of 1:2 (Liquid:Powder) to obtain a homogeneous, lump-free slurry.
• Use the mixed material within the pot life (typically 30–40 minutes at room temperature).

3. Coating Application

• Apply the first coat using a brush/roller in one direction and allow it to harden for approximately 4–6 hours (site conditions dependent).
• Optional reinforcement: Where required, embed glass fibre mesh into the wet base coat and press firmly with a brush to remove air entrapment.
• Apply the second coat in a crosswise direction to the first coat as soon as the first coat has hardened.

Consumption / Coverage

Approx. coverage: 8–9 sq.ft per kg (for 2 coats) to achieve a total dry film thickness (DFT) of approximately 900 microns to 1.0 mm. Actual consumption may vary depending on substrate profile, porosity, and site conditions.

Packaging

BS MoistureZero 2K is available in 30 kg set packaging (Part A – Polymer Liquid 10Kg, Part B – Powder 20Kg).

Storage & Shelf Life

• Store in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
• Recommended storage temperature: below 30°C.
• Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture, when stored in sealed, unopened containers.
