BS Betonsra Shrinkage Reduction Additive.
BS BETONSRA is a shrinkage-reducing admixture (SRA) for concrete and cementitious mortars. Added at the mixing stage, it reduces both plastic (early-age) and long-term drying shrinkage by lowering the surface tension of the capillary water within the concrete pore network - directly reducing the capillary stresses that drive shrinkage cracking. The result is concrete with fewer and narrower cracks, improved durability, and a longer service life.
BS BETONSRA is particularly valuable in large floor slabs, industrial pavements, water-retaining structures, precast elements, and overlays where shrinkage cracks would compromise aesthetics, waterproofing integrity, or long-term structural performance.
